Our Services

At The Woodbridge Vets, our team of dedicated experts offer a comprehensive range of services to give your pet the best possible care available. As well as all the services you would expect from a small animal vets we also offer referral services for Orthopaedic surgery, Keyhole surgery and Ultrasonography including Echocardiography.

Consultations

Our consultations are 15 minutes as standard but are extended whenever needed. This allows enough time make sure you feel totally held and heard. We will explain all the options with empathy, care, and patience until you feel crystal clear and at ease about the next steps.

Keyhole (laparoscopic) Neutering

Our keyhole spays are a safer and less invasive alternative to a traditional “open” spay. This means there is a faster and more comfortable recovery for your pet.
As one of the few practices to offer this service in Suffolk, we can offer this to both our existing clients, as well as taking referrals from other practices.

Home Visits

We know that some things are better done in the comfort and privacy of your pet's home. We are normally able to organise a home visit with short notice when needed.

Ultrasound Scans

Not satisfied with the quality of veterinary ultrasound machines, we have invested in a human-grade ultrasound scanner. Kyle has a special interest in imaging and takes referrals for both abdominal and cardiac ultrasonography.

Surgery

We perform all neutering, routine and emergency surgeries. We also offer advanced surgical procedures such as orthopaedic operations (including TPLOs), BOAS surgery and laparoscopic surgery.

In-House Laboratory

Equipped with the most modern lab equipment we can run blood tests in under 30 minutes, often having a diagnosis whilst you wait.

Dentistry

We have the experience and equipment to treat all types of dental conditions; not only routine scaling and polishing, but also complex surgical extractions.
We offer tailored advice to help owners care for the pet’s teeth. This can sometimes involve care tips on things like brushing or recommending products to help prevent dental disease.

CT Scanning

With our state-of-the-art CT scanner, we can see inside your pet which enables us to provide a more accurate and timely diagnosis of both routine and potentially life threatening conditions.

Pet Travel Certificates

Both Kyle and Laurie possess the additional OCQ(V)-CA qualifications required for issuing Animal Health certificates for taking your pet to the EU and Northern Ireland.

X-rays

Radiography is a crucial diagnostic tool capturing internal images of animals. Using X-rays, this non-invasive technique reveals bone fractures, organ abnormalities, and soft tissue conditions. Swift and precise, it aids us in formulating accurate treatment plans, ensuring the best care for your pets.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic technique that employs a slender, flexible tube equipped with a camera and light source to examine a pet's internal organs. This minimally invasive procedure allows for detailed visualization of structures such as the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, and urinary tract. Beyond diagnostics, endoscopy facilitates precise interventions, including foreign body retrieval and tissue biopsies, promoting quicker recovery and reduced discomfort for our furry companions.

It’s often said that veterinary treatment is
20 years behind human medicine.
At The Woodbridge Vets, we’re closing that gap.
