Dr Laurie Barrow

Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner

BSc BVMedSci BVM BVS CertNCS(AVC) MRCVS

Laurie grew up in Oxfordshire. He initially studied zoology at Durham University before moving to Nottingham where he and Kyle met. Laurie’s special interests are in consulting and surgery. He has pioneered the use of local anaesthetics to allow safer operations and has also introduced keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery to the area. The Woodbridge Vets now takes referrals for keyhole spays, among other procedures. Laurie holds a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Consulting, meaning he has undertaken training to develop this skill further.

At home Laurie is kept busy by his three dogs (two spaniels and a Labrador), and his fiancée’s two horses. He is a keen mechanic and is currently restoring his father’s old car, as well as trying to fix his forever-broken Land Rover.
