Dr Kyle Eadie
Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner
BVMedSci BVM BVS MRCVS
Kyle was born and raised in Suffolk. He studied at Nottingham University, where he and Laurie met and lived together for 5 years (it’s surprising they still get along!). Kyle worked as a veterinary surgeon and then as the joint clinical director of a local corporate practice before setting up The Woodbridge Vets.
Kyle has special interests in ultrasound imaging and cardiology, and he will continue to take referrals for these cases at The Woodbridge Vets.
In his spare time Kyle is a keen golfer and DIY enthusiast. He lives with his Partner Sophie and their cat Tiggy.
Dr Laurie Barrow
Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner
BSc BVMedSci BVM BVS CertNCS(AVC) MRCVS
Laurie grew up in Oxfordshire. He initially studied zoology at Durham University before moving to Nottingham where he and Kyle met. Laurie worked in Leicestershire before moving to Suffolk to join Kyle as the clinical director of a local corporate practice. They then set up The Woodbridge Vets together in April 2022.
Laurie’s special interests are in consulting and surgery. He has considerable experience in performing complex operations and also introduced keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery to the area. The Woodbridge Vets now takes referrals for keyhole spays, among other procedures. Laurie holds a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Consulting, meaning he has undertaken training to develop this skill further.

At home Laurie is kept busy by his three dogs (two spaniels and a Labrador), and his Wife's two horses. He is a keen mechanic and is currently restoring his father’s old car, as well as trying to fix his forever-broken Land Rover.
Mark Etheridge
Practice Manager
BSc (Hons) Ph.D. PGCE
Mark was born and raised in Suffolk, his keen interest in nature led him to study Ecology and Conservation at Aberystwyth University. His research has taken him to Mongolia to study birds of prey and to Namibia to study Cheetahs in the wild. He also worked in Arizona, getting up-close experience working with rescued exotic species such as reptiles, racoons and even tigers and wolves!
Outside work Mark loves getting out and about on long walks with his rescue collie Harry, taking photos of the local scenery or just relaxing in front of a good movie.
Dr Simon Culmstock

Simon qualified from Liverpool University, and subsequently worked in mixed practice in Essex for 3
years. He then moved to West Suffolk to join a four-centre small animal practice where he remained for
24 years, before moving to The Woodbridge Vets earlier this year.
Simon enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, and has a special interest in surgery. He gained the
RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2013, and is very happy to see first opinion and referral
cases in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
Outside of work Simon enjoys spending time with his family and their menagerie of animals.
Dr Sam Pryke

Sam grew up around Woodbridge and after graduating from the University of Edinburgh, he returned to mid Suffolk for a year in a busy small animal practice. Since then, he has undertaken specialist training in anaesthesia and analgesia at the University of Edinburgh, but is very happy to be back at home in Woodbridge. As well as having a keen interest in anaesthesia, he also particularly enjoys surgery. Outside of work, he shares his home with 3 dogs, 5 cats, 5 chickens and two ducks, and if this doesn’t keep him busy, he will often be found working away in the garden or tinkering around with his old Land Rover.

Lauren Dorling
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Lauren spent 6 years working really hard in first opinion practice building her skills and knowledge to go on and qualify as a veterinary nurse from the Central College of Animal Studies in 2022. Since qualifying she finds nursing the patients which need to stay with us for the day, typically those with more complicated medical needs, the most rewarding.
She is also really keen to keep progressing her understanding and skills surrounding anaesthesia skills. At the end of the day she is greeted at home by Tabby, her rescue cat and Poppy, her springer spaniel who loves to join her for a long walk or even a good run!
Alex Hazelwood

Freddie has lived just outside Felixstowe all of her life, and graduated from Writtle University College in May 2023 as an Equine Sports Therapist. She is currently completing her Diploma in Animal Osteopathy, and hopes to return to University to study Veterinary Medicine.
In her spare time, she is kept busy by her young spaniel, Orla, and enjoys hiking and bouldering.
Gemma Cannell

She has previous experience in a vet practice as well as working in a high-end pet store for a number of years where she also manged to study animal nutrition, though she thinks her knowledge may be a bit rusty now! Whilst she doesn't currently have any pets (she has had rabbits and a dog in the past), she is kept more than busy enough with her 3 young sons, so much so that she's not sure what "free time" is anymore!
