Dr Kyle Eadie
Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner
BVMedSci BVM BVS MRCVS
Kyle was born and raised in Suffolk. He studied at Nottingham University, where he and Laurie met and lived together for 5 years (it’s surprising they still get along!). Kyle worked as a veterinary surgeon and then as the joint clinical director of a local corporate practice before setting up The Woodbridge Vets.
Kyle has particular interests in imaging, medicine and cardiology,
In his spare time Kyle is a keen golfer and DIY enthusiast. He lives with his Partner Sophie and their cat and chickens.

Dr Laurie Barrow
Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner
BSc BVMedSci BVM BVS CertNCS(AVC) MRCVS
Laurie grew up in Oxfordshire. He initially studied zoology at Durham University before moving to Nottingham where he and Kyle met. Laurie worked in Leicestershire before moving to Suffolk to join Kyle as the clinical director of a local corporate practice. They then set up The Woodbridge Vets together in April 2022.
Laurie’s interests are in consulting and surgery. He has considerable experience in performing complex operations and also introduced keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery to the area. The Woodbridge Vets now takes second opinions for keyhole spays, among other procedures. Laurie holds a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Consulting, meaning he has undertaken training to develop this skill further.

At home Laurie is kept busy by his three dogs (two spaniels and a Labrador), and his wife's two horses. He is a keen mechanic and is currently restoring his father’s old car, as well as trying to fix his forever-broken Land Rover.

Mark Etheridge
Practice Manager
BSc (Hons) Ph.D. PGCE
Mark was born and raised in Suffolk, his keen interest in nature led him to study Ecology and Conservation at Aberystwyth University. His research has taken him to Mongolia to study birds of prey and to Namibia to study Cheetahs in the wild. He also worked in Arizona, getting up-close experience working with rescued exotic species such as reptiles, racoons and even tigers and wolves!
Outside work Mark loves getting out and about on long walks with his rescue collie Harry, taking photos of the local scenery or just relaxing in front of a good movie.

Dr Simon Culmstock
Veterinary Surgeon
BSc(Hons) BVSc CertAVP(GSAS) MRCVS
Simon qualified from Liverpool University, and subsequently worked in mixed practice in Essex for 3
years. He then moved to West Suffolk to join a four-centre small animal practice where he remained for
24 years, before moving to The Woodbridge Vets earlier last year.

Simon enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice, and has a particular interest in orthopaedic procedures. He gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2013, and is very happy to see first and second opinion
cases in soft tissue and complex orthopaedic surgery.

Outside of work Simon enjoys spending time with his family and their menagerie of animals.

Dr Emma Hall
Veterinary Surgeon
MVdr MRCVS
Emma is originally from Ireland and grew up surrounded by pets, which naturally sparked her passion for veterinary care from a young age.
She began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Biosciences from Aberystwyth University, before going on to complete her veterinary degree in Slovakia.

Since qualifying, Emma has enjoyed working in Hampshire and has recently relocated to Suffolk. She is passionate about animal welfare and always strives to create a warm, supportive environment for both pets and their owners.

Dr Christiaan Oliphant
Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc MRCVS
Christiaan grew up in Jeffreys Bay, a coastal town in South Africa known for its surf and relaxed lifestyle. He qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria, in 2021. After graduating, Christiaan worked as the sole vet in a rural practice, treating a wide range of animals - from dogs and cats to buffalo, meerkats, ostriches, and parrots.​

In April 2023, Christiaan moved to the UK and worked in Portsmouth, focusing on dogs, cats, and small furries. Although he initially planned to work in large animal practice, he discovered a passion for small animal surgery, which has since become his main professional focus. He is currently completing a postgraduate certificate in this field and is set to finish later this year.
​
Christiaan joined The Woodbridge Vets to refine his surgical skills and learn from a team known for complex procedures. He particularly enjoys BOAS surgery and finds it rewarding to see the dramatic improvement it brings to a patient's quality of life.
​
Outside of work, he enjoys videography, photography, and being outdoors. He leads an active lifestyle and also keeps his South African roots close with a love for biltong and droëwors.

Dr Lizzie Coates
Veterinary Surgeon

Lizzie spent her childhood on the Cornish coast, surrounded by horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. She graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017 with a degree in Veterinary Science and moved straight to East Anglia.

After eight years working at small animal practices in Essex and Suffolk, Lizzie joined The Woodbridge Vets in 2025. She was eager to become part of a forward-thinking team where she could continue to develop her veterinary skills. Lizzie enjoys the variety that veterinary medicine offers. She particularly values building relationships with her clients and their pets, and has a special interest in medical cases and ultrasound.
At the weekend, Lizzie can be found showjumping on her horse, Elvis, running with her dog, Stevie, or being bossed around by Sidney, her cat.

Elodie Fonseka
Lead Veterinary Nurse
FdSc RVN CertVN ECC
Elodie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. Elodie has worked in both general practice and referral practice, and has undergone further training for her certificate in Emergency and Critical Care.
In her spare time Elodie is kept busy looking after her horse Sully, Mabel and her cat Winnie.

Molly Patchett
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Molly qualified from Writtle College in 2022 having been mentored for 3 years by the senior nurse. She is an experienced dog handler, having previously worked in a kennels and at a dog day care.
Molly's main clinical interests are anaesthesia, emergency and critical care.
In Molly's spare time she loves baking and spending time with family and friends. She is kept busy with her two guinea pigs (Nutmeg and Leia) and two dogs (Jazzy and Bobby).

Claudia Canelas
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Claudia grew up in Lisbon, Portugal and qualified with her Degree in Veterinary Nursing from Viseu University, Portugal in 2015. After graduating she developed an interest in critical cases and feline medicine and behaviour, going on to earn an ISFM Diploma in feline medicine.
Whilst in Portugal she worked mainly in referral settings but also in some first opinion practices too. In 2019 she came over to the UK to work at a referral practice and then she joined our team in 2024. She has a Pomeranian named Thor and a cat called Emilia.

Lauren Dorling

Lauren spent 6 years working really hard in first opinion practice building her skills and knowledge to go on and qualify as a veterinary nurse from the Central College of Animal Studies in 2022. Since qualifying she finds nursing the patients which need to stay with us for the day, typically those with more complicated medical needs, the most rewarding.
She is also really keen to keep progressing her understanding and skills surrounding anaesthesia skills. At the end of the day she is greeted at home by Tabby, her rescue cat and Remi, her springer spaniel Poppy who loves to join her for a long walk or even a good run!

Bryony Rumbellow

Bryony joined our Nursing team at The Woodbridge Vets in late April 2025. When she was training to become a qualified Veterinary Nurse, Bryony worked at another local first-opinion practice, gaining lots of practical skills and experience. She went on to successfully graduate from Writtle College in 2023.

Since graduating she is now very keen to take her skills and knowledge base even further to help benefit her patients. Emergency and critical care is an area that Bryony is particularly interested in and so she is hoping to be able to start working towards her certification as soon as possible.
Outside of work, she enjoys working on new sewing projects and spending time outdoors with her two dogs, a Cockapoo and Patterdale Terrier.

Joan Pettitt
Client Care
Joan has been on reception since day one at The Woodbridge Vets. She is known as ‘Nannydogs’ having had 47 dogs in her life and currently owns five. Joan has done much work in the past raising money for animal charities, specifically the Blue Cross and Canine Welfare.
Joan is currently head of treats and sweets at the practice, both for our patients and our staff. We are trying to eat the sweets faster than she brings them in but so far we’re failing!

Iveta Rosenkrancova

Iveta joined us in 2023, slotting straight into our client care team. Her background is in dental clinic work where she spent over 10 years honing her excellent customer service skills as a nurse and treatment coordinator. She also has Business and Administration role experience, recently earning her IOA Business & Administration Level 2 and IOA Team skills & Leadership Level 2 qualifications.

As well as being a key part of our client care team, Iveta is also in charge of all our social media platforms and creates our practice's monthly newsletter - keeping our community up to date, informed, and engaged.
​
Iveta has a soft spot for dogs, especially her English Bulldog, Lenny. She enjoys countryside walks or cozy evenings by the fire with a book, a cup of tea, and Lenny by her side.

Courtney McDonnell
Client Care
Courtney joined our Client Care Team in June 2025. With a genuine passion for animal welfare, she has earned both Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Animal Care. Her experience spans various settings, from doggy day care through to rescue environments having worked for The Blue Cross, where she developed a strong foundation in compassionate, hands-on care.
Together with her husband, Courtney has a very energetic two-year-old daughter, Aurora - who definitely knows how to keep the household on its toes, and they also have a rescue cat called Hobbit.
Outside of work, Courtney enjoys gardening, cooking, and exploring the countryside and coastline during long walks.

Laura Ward
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Laura spent 3 years in a first opinion practice in Cambridgeshire before completing her veterinary nurse training in 2015 at The College of West Anglia. Laura has a keen interest in emergency and critical care and is currently studying towards the VNCert ECC.
In her spare time (if she has any!) she is generally running around after her 2 young boys, Rhodesian Ridgeback (Zabi) and rescue kitten (Enid).

Fredrika Anderson

Freddie has lived just outside Felixstowe all of her life, and graduated from Writtle University College in May 2023 as an Equine Sports Therapist. She is currently completing her Diploma in Animal Osteopathy, and hopes to return to University to study Veterinary Medicine.
In her spare time, she is kept busy by her young spaniel, Orla, and enjoys hiking and bouldering.

Hannah Nay

Hannah graduated from Writtle College with a degree in Wildlife Conservation before moving to Surrey to train as a veterinary nurse. Since qualifying in 2022, she has gained experience in both small animal and referral practices. Hannah has a particular interest in medical cases and is especially passionate about developing her skills in anaesthesia.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys baking, gardening, and going for walks in nature. She shares her home with two rescue cats, Tess and Locke, as well as four Australian tree frogs.

Toby Samkin
Veterinary Care Assistant
Toby was born and bred in Suffolk and grew up around the Southwold area. He has always had a passion for animals and enjoys having lots of pets, as well as caring for them. In 2023, Toby gained his Level 2 Animal Care Certificate and is currently working towards his Veterinary Care Assistant qualifications.
In his spare time, Toby enjoys watching football and is a big fan of Ipswich Town. He also enjoys running, fishing, and dog walks. Toby currently lives with his partner and their two dogs, four cats, two budgies, two leopard geckos, a hamster, and a tortoise.
